ABOUT ABOUT

Town Hall: Resolution 50 offers a guide to navigating advocacy through the arts. By joining the audience, you are asked to think critically about personal, community and governmental responsibility, and to collectively make sense of environmental injustices that are difficult to reconcile with the popular and historical American messages of equality and democracy.

The plot follows several Camden City youth, growing together as friends as they seek to unpack
internalized trauma of living their entire lives subjugated by environmental racism. These students
are fighting to overcome their own individual struggles while still finding the strength to take a
stand for themselves, their classmates, and their entire community. By joining the audience, you
are asked to think critically about personal, community and governmental responsibility, and to
collectively make sense of environmental injustices that are difficult to reconcile with the popular
and historical American messages of equality and democracy.

Each episode depicts the lived experiences of environmental racism in Camden, based on resident
stories of living in extreme urban heat, breathing in polluted air, wading through contaminated
flood water and the acceleration of every one of these realities in the face of climate change.
